Number of People in Material Need is Still Rising
The number of recipients of social contributions for people in material need in Slovakia has increased in February for the twelfth consecutive month, to 183,300. This is the highest number of recipients of social welfare benefits since October 2007. In annual terms, this represents an increase by 38,400 people, according to data of the Central Office for Labour, Social Affairs, and Family.
