Linus Roth je jedným z najzaujímavejších hudobníkov mladej generácie. Dostal hudobnú cenu Echo Klassik Nemeckej Phonoakademie ako "Objav roka 2006" za jeho debutové CD so sonátami Brahmsa, Debussyho, Ysayea a Mendelssohna, ktoré bolo vydané v EMI Classics.
Prednes Linusa Rotha kombinuje výnimočne spracovaný zvuk s technickou brilantnosťou, sprevádzaný hudobnou intuíciou a znalosťou rôznych štýlov. Tieto vlastnosti potvrdila aj Anne-Sophie Mutter, ktorej nadácia podporovala tohto mladého hudobníka 5 rokov.
Talent Linusa Rotha bol objavený v rannej mladosti. Keď mal 12 rokov, bol prijatý profesorom Nicolasom Chumachencom na Hudobnú akadémiu vo Freiburgu. V roku 1992 získal prvú cenu v nemeckej národnej súťaže "Jugend musiziert". O rok neskôr pokračoval v štúdiu u profesora Zakhara Brona na Hudobnej akadémii v Lübecku, ktorú ukončil v roku 1998. Následne študoval na Hudobnej akadémii v Zürichu a na Hudobnej akadémii v Mníchove u profesorky Any Chumachenco, ktorá zostala jeho najdôležitejším poradcom aj po ukončení štúdia.
Linus Roth má dobré meno aj ako koncertný sólista. Vystupoval alebo v blízkej budúcnosti vystúpi(okrem iného)s Radio Orchestra Kaiserslautern a Berlin, Orquesta de Cordoba, Orchestre Philharmonique de Nice, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Berner Sinfonieorchester, Orchestra of the State Opera Stuttgart, Vienna Chamber Philharmonic a Munich Chamber Orchestra.
Spolupracoval s takými dirigentmi ako Gerd Albrecht, Herbert Blomstedt, Andrey Boreyko, Frank Beermann, Hartmut Haenchen, Manfred Honeck, James Gaffigan, Ruben Gazarian, Alun Francis, Anu Tali a Antoni Wit.
Linus Roth získal viacero ocenení vrátane 1. miesta na "Medzinárodnej Husľovej súťaži Novosibirsk" v roku 1995, 2. miesta na medzinárodnej hudobnej súťaži "Josepha Szigetiho" v roku 1997 a 1. miesta v Nemeckej hudobnej súťaži, a taktiž zvláštnu cenu udeľovanú Schumannhouse v Bonne v roku 2003 za najlepšiu interpretáciu Schumannovho diela.
Linus Roth hrá na husliach A. Stardivari "Dancla" 1703, láskavo zapožičaných "L-Bank, štátnou bankou spolkovej krajiny Baden-Württemberg", Nemecko.

Linus Roth is one of the most interesting musicians of the younger generation. Recently, he received the Echo Klassik Award of the German Phonoacademy for "Best Newcomer 2006" for his Debut CD with sonatas by Brahms, Debussy, Ysaye and Mendelssohn, which was released on EMI Classics.
Linus Roth´s playing combines an exceptional cultivated sound with technical brilliance, accompanied by musical intuition and a knowledge of different styles. These qualities were confirmed by Anne-Sophie Mutter, whose foundation had supported the young musician for 5 years.
Linus Roth´s talent was recognised early in his youth. When he was 12 years old, he was accepted by Prof. Nicolas Chumachenco at the Music Academy Freiburg. In 1992 he won First Prize at the German national competition "Jugend musiziert". One year later, he continued his studies with Prof. Zakhar Bron at the Music Academy Lübeck, from which he graduated in 1998. Further studies followed at the Music Academy of Zurich and the Music Academy of Munich with Prof. Ana Chumachenco, who also remained his most important advisor after he finished his studies with the Soloist Diploma.
As a concert soloist, Linus Roth is making a big name for himself. He has performed / will perform in the near future with (amongst others), the Radio Orchestra Kaiserslautern and Berlin, the Orquesta de Cordoba, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Nice, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, the Berner Sinfonieorchester, the Orchestra of the State Opera Stuttgart, the Vienna Chamber Philharmonic and the Munich Chamber Orchestra.
Conductors he collaborated with are, amongst others Gerd Albrecht, Herbert Blomstedt, Andrey Boreyko, Frank Beermann, Hartmut Haenchen, Manfred Honeck, James Gaffigan, Ruben Gazarian, Alun Francis, Anu Tali und Antoni Wit.
Linus Roth has been awarded several prizes, including the 1st prize desof the "International Violin Competition Novosibirsk in 1995, the 2nd prize of the International Music Competition "Joseph Szigeti" in 1997, and the 1st prize of the German Music Competition, combined with the Special Prize of the Schumannhouse Bonn in 2003 for the best interpretation of a work by Schumann.
Linus Roth plays on the A. Stradivari "Dancla" 1703, kindly loaned by the "L-Bank, Staatsbank of Baden-Württemberg", Germany.
