Anca Dragu
Covering business, politics, EU affairs and sport for RSI, widely known as the tennis fanatic in the office. Covering the final of the Davis Cup in 2005 between Slovakia and Croatia was one of the most exciting moments of her career; furthermore holding a secret dream to interview Stefan Edberg one day (having already interviewed all the great contemporary Slovak tennis players). Her favourite interviewee ever was a 10 year old Roma pupil from Jarovnice, Eastern Slovakia, who apart from being a very talented painter was also an excellent guide through the Roma settlement.
Christopher George
Since arriving in Slovakia in 2006, he has been covering sport, cultural events, advice and information on the joys and perils of Slovakia’s countryside but not stopping there by also bringing musical items and the people behind them to the airwaves. Often told he has a face for radio, it had been proven that he even has the voice. His need to try new things has taken him on many a journey, Kosice maybe being his personal highlight. The touch of the mystical is brought via his series of Slovak fairytales; he is seen as the storyteller of the office. In his spare time, works on design and programming and firmly believes Skype should replace email as the contact method of choice.
Katarina Richterova
Working at RSI since she can remember, Katarina has been taking her microphone to Slovak caves, castles, mountains, demonstrations, interviews with interesting and influential people and ordinary Slovaks – all in an effort to bring the essence of Slovakia and everyday life in the country to RSI listeners. Apart from journalism she likes all sorts of new professional challenges and is the best long distance runner in the section, practising mainly on the route – office to studio and back.
Zuzana Botiková
The youngest member of the English section, and the whole RSI as well, Zuzana Botiková, works hard every week to bring into the broadcasts some music, folk culture, society and history related issues, while at the same time she fights with the education system to obtain a degree in Media Studies and Sociology. This thrilling story has been on air since the summer of 2009. If she is not present in the office, she is most probably climbing some mountain, visiting a cultural event or sat in school.
